We're always fascinated by all the different spaces & places our throws find themselves in once they leave the nest :)
This week, we're at Awel Acupuncture in Cardigan, West Wales (UK), where one of our olive Yin Yang throws has been living!
Maggie is a licensed acupuncturist and traditional Chinese medicine practitioner, who works from her own ambient studio, conveniently located on the high street in Cardigan. She believes in a holistic approach to healthcare and works to provide a calm and positive space where her clients can feel relaxed, listened to and cared for.
"I’ve used my Clr Shop throw in my fun and inviting treatment room. I have a couple more gorgeous Clr blankets at home, but this olive Yin Yang design is particularly perfect for my workspace."
"The theory of yin and yang is fundamental to the practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine in terms of understanding, diagnosing, and treating health issues. Yin and yang represent harmony and balance. Everything in the universe is made up of these two opposing forces that are in a constant state of change. If yin is a negative force, yang is positive. While yin is feminine, yang is masculine. Yin is passive and slow, yang is active and fast. Yin and yang are opposites but can’t exist without each other. For optimum health, they should be roughly equal.
As we are fundamentally connected to nature, synching with it is the best way to balance our yin and yang energies. Olive green is seen as protective colour which can create a feeling of calm, serenity and security. The colour is known to have significant benefits on mental wellbeing. It’s a quiet, soothing colour that can invite harmony and diffuse anxiety. Surrounding oneself with greenery encourages restoration and relaxation and can help balance mind and mood."
